Terms of Use

The site

General Knowledge is a collection of geography, history and general-knowledge games, run by Pedro Weissenberg. Playing is free. Some extras, such as sending challenges (VIP), may be paid in the future; a price is always shown before anything is charged.

Your account

• If you are under 18, create your account together with a parent or guardian.
• Use an e-mail address that is yours and keep your password to yourself. You answer for what is done with your account.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts to cheat in challenges or rankings.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Fair play

• Do not use programs, scripts or changed pages to fake scores, medals or challenge results, and do not look for the answers of a challenge before playing it.
• Do not use names or pictures that are offensive, that pretend to be someone else or that break the law.
• Do not try to break the site, get into other people's accounts or overload the servers.
• We can correct scores, remove names or pictures, and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Content and sources

• The games use maps, flags, pictures, sounds and data from the sources listed in “Sources and criteria” (/sources.txt), each under its own licence. The names, logos and symbols of countries, parties and organisations belong to their owners and appear here only to be identified in the games.
• The facts in the games come from public sources and were checked with care, but mistakes can exist. Do not rely on the site for decisions that matter; if you find a mistake, write to pedweiss@hotmail.com.

No guarantees

The site is offered as it is. It can be out of service, change or end, and points or medals can be corrected or reset. As far as the law allows, Pedro Weissenberg is not liable for losses from using the site.

Changes and law

These terms can change; the new text is published on this page with its date. They follow the laws of Brazil.
